Going to Hartford was such a magical experience for me. It proved to me that it is possible to experience bliss and this path was real and could exist for me. A lot of things happened after I came back from my trip in March. I wasn’t able to complete this album before my first deadline. There have been many setbacks. I went into a small mental breakdown. I found a new job which cut time into making this album. It was not easy to make this album. I think I had an easier time making the Philadelphia album. Then again that album was rough as well. I know in the future, making albums will be easier because I have a clear focus on what I want to do now.

I finished making all the designs featured on speed art videos on June 18th. I won’t go into much detail about making the designs here. Please visit the speed art links above for each design more information. For each design, I took photos for the base design. I call it my canvas. Most designs I included an abstract drawing I made. You can see each design in the video album. I didn’t add every design to the shop. There’s a good reason for this. Some designs didn’t fit well with specific pieces of clothing. I tried adjusting settings and sizes but it didn’t look right to me. I don’t want to compromise design quality so I removed the designs from the shop. I am happy with the designs that are featured in the shop. Check it out when you have the chance.

It took me a very long time to make the video album. I started making the album as soon as I came back from my trip. My original idea was to create a 3 minute video album but I reduced the time because all the photos and video footage fit within two minutes. There are 163 pictures in the video album, excluding the speed art designs. I created a design for each photo. There are several videos made from the photos using design scripts. I wanted to have a snowy look to the video design because I happen to be in Hartford during a huge snowstorm. All the pictures I took were before and after the snowstorm. The day of the snowstorm, I stayed inside my hotel room. I guess my only regret was not going outside to take pictures during the blizzard. It looked incredible outside.

I know the album video it’s not long but there were many problems I encountered while making this video. One of the biggest problems I had was my computer crashing while saving the file in after effects. The file became corrupted and I had to rely on an old backup file. There was an error on the old backup file. I wanted to continue working on it because I didn’t want to start completely from scratch. Altogether, it took several weeks to put everything together. I created video footage from design scripts and Sony Vegas. I sampled with burst shots during my trip and I captured a few seconds of video with pictures. I love how it looks. With my scripts, I can create designs from burst shot photos. Now that I know how to create these videos I can experiment more. However, I may take a different approach for my next album. I’ve been experimenting more with Adobe After Effects.

The video album is not perfect but it’s a great first step in the right direction. I aim to create all video footage in the next album. No still shots, featuring all my designs. It’s creating a different reality with color. It’s incredible. I sampled with that here and it’s amazing. It’s truly a wonderful feeling to manifest bits of my imagination.

I thank Hartford for giving me a clear focus. I am really grateful to have the opportunity to visit this place. Everything felt so beautiful to me. I know that’s not specific and may sound general. I go into details on a few blog posts for my speed art videos. One thing that I realized is that I must continue this journey even if the odds are against me and if bad things are happening around me. It’s always hard to continue the journey when you see obvious reasons to stop. I have no clue if I can continue my travels. Making this album was very difficult but I’m willing to go through all the headaches and pain again to have another experience like Hartford. Part of me still feels shocked that I accomplished making this album.

I am so happy to complete this album. To say that I’m finished feels like a huge relief but an insane feat. I’m ready for Cape May.
