During the Citizens Bank Tour, we had many opportunities to take pictures of the baseball field. I was a little disappointed that there was snow on the field but I wanted to take pictures anyway. I knew if I was going to work with any of the pictures, it was going to be a challenge. I was thinking about skipping this design completely and moving on to the dugout. However, after I finished Locker Room, I thought I could use rotating mirror to help make the design work.
This design was definitely a challenge for me. I started the design late last night but was too tired to work on it for long. I continued working on the design in the morning and didn’t think I would spend too much time on it. About 3 hours in, I was stuck. The colors were spot on. I found an awesome pattern as the base but the textures were off. I worked on it for another hour before I stopped. I was very upset at the time but I wanted to create the music video. I resigned myself to thinking everything was going to look terrible. When I finished the video, I was surprised how much I liked it. I worked on the design a bit more to do the video justice but I was at a dead end.
I feel very bittersweet about this design. I’m not happy with it at all but I do love the colors. I wish I could have done better. It was a challenge from the beginning. I will get better. Every design is a chance to improve. I’m getting closer to the end of this series and I am very nervous. Well… I hope you like the design and the music video.
