My first stop off the train, for part 2 of my travel series was at 30th Street Station. I really love the area. I love to travel. In my pursuit of color, I hope to create a travel series album in every state in the U.S.A. After that, move abroad and create albums in different countries. I can see it very clearly in my mind and I am working hard to make this career a reality.
I love long train rides. When I was in college, I would travel back and forth home on Amtrak during the holidays. I always loved the ride. The train station covers the whole block, on the left side. I took several pics. I took one standing between a divider, a half block away, from the station. I thought that picture looked better than the one I used for this design. However, the station looks distant. I’m going to post pictures I took during the travel series, when I complete the album. There are a lot of designs I wish I could make but I am restricted on time.
I took three photos of the Franklin Institute. I really wanted to do a design featuring that building. However… the shots that I took weren’t great. I am contemplating if I should use the shot I did of the Institute at an angle. There were airplane structures in the photo and I loved it. I don’t know. I have one more design left in this part of my travel series and I’m not sure on what design to do.
I started making 30th Street last night. I am severely behind my design schedule for this album. I’m going to try to create a design today as well and tomorrow. I will be traveling for the final part of my travel series on Saturday, hopefully. I was supposed to go out tomorrow but I don’t have enough money for the ticket I need to buy. I will keep what the ticket is for as a surprise. I’m actually going somewhere I haven’t been to ever so I’m super excited.
I think I’m starting to like designing at night time. I wasn’t feeling too great at the beginning but I forced myself to make something. I was thinking about the situation I’m in right now and plus I was dealing with some conflict at home. Not a good combination. When I began working with this design, I was starting to feel better. Getting lost in the blends is a wonderful feeling. Finding sweetness… that’s the whole point.
I played around with blue, purple, yellow, and brown. I tweak the contours effect to create a weird design texture. I don’t know if you can see it but there’s a face on the far right of the design. When I saw that, I didn’t want to play with any more textures. I normally don’t mess with certain presets but I was curious if I can create a cool effect with the photo by using contours. I really love this design. I think it looks strange and I love strange designs. It would be cool to walk to 30th street and have nature completely transform the area into a fantasy filled with different color blends and textures. Have a chance to walk through another reality. I would love my afterlife to be filled with wonderful colors. Working on these designs gives me so much hope, not only for my future with color but beyond this life.
I’m in a bad place right now. Everything could easily fall apart in seconds if I didn’t have two people in my life. I don’t have much to really live for but I am sincerely grateful to keep working with color. It is really saving me from despair.
I hope you like this design and the music video. I changed the speed a bit in the video, to make it flow better with the music. Hopefully, I can make another design today.
