I feel honored to be able to go on this adventure and have an opportunity to work on this design.

This design has a different style. I always geared toward bold and loud colors. Something has to pop! But this is very different.

I really love the colors in this design. I know it’s different. I know it probably looks like crap but I just love it! It’s all about the color blends. I was thinking last night that I should keep going. I should try to make this design pop more with color. Make it striking, have the colors shriek. But… at the end, I thought this is the color I love the most. The colors feel old to me. A certain speck of light peaks through in the background. Everything feels blended well to me. I wanted to create something that felt like it was created years ago. Mark Twain lived here over 100 years ago. The color of the house was beautiful, perfect for the tone I wanted to reflect in the design and the age the house itself. Paper develops a more sepia tone after 20 or so years. The house itself has similar colors. I truly loved that house. The red was amazing. I definitely wanted to use that color in this design. If I went my normal route when making a design, I think I wouldn’t be able to create the tone that I wanted for this design. Printed on a canvas, I think this design would like an old painting. Well… to me anyway.

I hope you like it. I’m still on this wonderful journey. Even though I haven’t posted anything in a long time. This album has taken an interesting turn for me. Life changes everything. I had somewhat of a different vision with this album at the beginning. I ran into some struggles recently with creating my video design. It’s a long story that’s unrelated to this design so I won’t mention it. However, I do hope that I can finish everything before I head to Cape May. I hope this album is beautiful. I am so thankful that I was able to go to Hartford. It confirmed everything for me. This is the path I need to be on. It also helped me see what I really need to focus on when it comes to my work with color. I always wanted to create the visions I see in my head. Colors dancing… Colors in love with other blends. Everything is so lush and beautiful. I know what to do now.
