In my last podcast episode, I talk about accepting failure. It’s one thing that’s been a constant in my life. After I saw this motivational video, I see failure differently. I’m starting to accept it instead of fearing it. I have a dream and I’m going to fight to make it happen. I picture myself standing in front of the Eiffel Tower every day. I have a picture of the Eiffel Tower as wallpaper on my computer. I see it every day. Right now, every single design is a step closer to that dream. I would love to do a travel series in Paris, France. I would like for this to happen before my 33rd birthday. I had a crazy random thought years ago. I saw myself owning an art gallery in Paris. I was surrounded by my designs. I was older, probably late 50’s and I was happy and smiling. That’s my ultimate endgame. I would love to live there. I know I haven’t visit Paris yet. I feel if I can get there, I will fall in love. I’ve been there several times in my dreams and each time felt majestic to me. Les Brown said in the video “Once you stop fighting for what you want then what you don’t want will automatically take over.” Hearing that really hit me hard. Every time I stopped working on designs, I took steps back in making this dream become a reality. Now, I’m not going to stop until I get what I want.
I only have 10 days left in this design challenge. So far it’s been wild ride. Something I don’t know I’ll try again any time soon. I am very stressed out, tired, and I’ve hit some roadblocks mentally and creatively with this challenge. I’m still on my track and I’m determined to create 30 designs before midnight May 1st. If I can finish this challenge, then to me I know I can push myself to do just about anything creatively.
When I stared at this design at the end, I immediately thought to call it Color Architect. It’s a nice thought. Plus, in many ways, artists are architects with color. Many artists reconstruct landscapes throughout nature and create alternate realities derived subconscious. I like to see myself as a Color Roamer.
I started this design very late at night. My day was very busy and I was already tired when I started making this design. I ended falling asleep minutes before midnight. I do remember it was past 11pm and I was still working on the design. I woke up in the middle of night with the computer resting on top of me. I was upset at the time because I wanted to post something before midnight. I’m going take a quick nap before working on future designs so that won’t happen again.
I hope you like the music video and design!
