At the time of making this design, I was about to turn 30 years old. I was broke, heavily depressed, and scared on where my life was headed. I was losing faith that anything was going to work out for me in a positive way. I love the pursuit of color but it was not enough to sustain any type of living. I gave up a lot going down this road, including leaving a stressful job. At the time, I gave up. I actually did something that I hoped would end my current state of affairs but it worsen my condition. I still don’t know if things are going to get better but things have changed slightly from that incident.
I feature lots of brown, black and white in this design. There’s one variation I made that featured a little bit of red but I didn’t feature that version in the shop. I wanted to explore colors that I normally don’t use. I’m not a big fan of brown but I like the challenge.
