Kidnapped by Purple Hues

March 5th, 2019 Update: I am adding designs and music videos made before this domain was bought in December 2013. Kidnapped by Purple Hues was originally posted on June 8th, 2012. I had a different domain at that time called beatnify.com. Unfortunately, I lost everything but the music video since it was posted on Youtube. The thumbnail featured for this post features a different design I made around that time and posted on DeviantArt. You can read more information below this video. Thanks!

It pains me to say that I don’t have the original version of this design. I can’t find it anywhere. I lost a lot of my artwork in 2013 when my computer died. This design was one of them… I wanted to post something as a thumbnail for this blog. I found a design drenched in purple that I made in September 2012. I posted this design on my deviant art page. I don’t remember posting this design on the website I had at the time which was beatnify.com. Beatnify no longer exists. You can read more about that on my about page. I go into details about the many changes that happened within the last 6 1/2 years. I did post a little information about the music video on Youtube channel. If I didn’t post my art and videos on Youtube and DeviantArt I would have lost so much more work. I am very grateful that I didn’t lose everything I made at that time.

The dominant color in this design is purple. It’s strange that I’ve been designing a lot in purple recently. My favorite color is Red. I am going to stray big time from purple in the next couple of designs.

I don’t feel like I did the song justice at the end. Looking back at the video, I think the build up and the journey of colors was alright but I don’t like the designs I ended up with at the end. I’m definitely going to create another design to this song. I hope you like the video overall.

I did add small visual effects in the video. I wanted to add more flair to the video because the song is so powerful. I apologize for the song ending before the visuals. The song itself ended on point but towards the end the sounds were close to mute and you really can’t hear anything. I do apologize.

Song Used: Let It Go by Saav and Sky

Programs Used: Microsoft Excel and Paint Shop Pro 8
Video Editing: Windows Movie Maker 2.6 (old version made for windows xp.) Wish I could use sony vegas but I’ve been having lots of problems with that program lately.
I sped up the video by 3x to 5x. The design took me a little over 90 minutes to complete.
