Making this music video was truly a battle. I use windows movie maker to edit my videos. The current version for my computer is not working properly. The video freezes up at certain points. I thought it wouldn’t do it again if I made smaller clips while recording. I was wrong. I can’t tell you how upset I was at the time.
So… I tried the older version of windows movie maker that I liked and it still won’t save my video. At this point, I was fed up so I tried looking for another program that was easy to use. I don’t have time to learn a complicated program. I downloaded Vegas movie studio because I have experience with Sony Vegas. I did that and I had problems speeding up the clips. It took me over 4 hours to create the design. I had to ditch that program and figure out what to do.
I ended up finding another version of movie maker for vista. I download the software and everything seemed fine at first. However… the program said the first two clips I recorded were unreadable. I couldn’t rerecord the clips so now I had to make the video without the beginning of the design process. Around 2 hours are missing in this video. The great part is that the movie actually saved to my computer and there were no other issues.
Ok… here are a few problems. Since I was stopping the recording a lot, you can see the video capture software on the screen. I’m sorry. At times the computer will slow down whenever I tried to record again or stop the video. Plus I already mentioned earlier that I couldn’t start the video at the beginning. This was a nightmare that hopefully won’t happen again soon. I definitely have a love/hate relationship with Movie Maker.
One thing I am happy about is that this version of movie maker is a lot better than the other two problematic versions. I only hope I don’t run into any more problems.
