Soldier’s Arch… This one gave me quite a battle. I worked on this design off and on for three days. Towards the end, I was completely lost. I didn’t know what direction I was going with the color blends. I was thinking I was making a mess. I don’t want the main object to disappear in the blends. While I was at my other job, I kept thinking about this design. Trying to picture in my head which filter could make this design pop. I was finding great color blends at times but something felt missing. I’m working a new schedule at my job and it’s brutal. I am dead tired but I told myself that I wasn’t going to go to bed until I finished this. This design has set me back three days for my album. I am determined to finish everything on time. There were times while making this design where I thought to start over but I already put days into this and I wasn’t going to abandon all the work I’ve done. I didn’t count the hours it took me to finish but yesterday alone was over 3 hours. The last hour, I took a step back. I changed the music in the background and force myself to look at this in a different perspective. After I started playing around with more mirror effects I knew I was getting close to the end. I felt an odd sensation to stop and I’m happy I did.

I know it looks nothing like Soldier’s Arch in Hartford. It’s my version. Maybe in a distant reality or somewhere in the future, someone can travel to this version of Soldier’s Arch. To become one with the design… That would be my utopia. There’s so much to explore! Color, patterns, shapes, beats, and nature. I try to picture myself in my designs. The music videos are seeing the reality being created. It feels great to get lost in color blends with awesome music in the background. I guess this all sound nuts. Does this sound crazy?

Speaking of the music video…. I made a lot of errors while recording. You can see it at times and I’m sorry. It took me several hours to make the video. I was much sharper with recording when I made Prequel. I’m still trying to adjust to my recording routine. It’s very easy to miss pausing the video every time I use an effect. I’m concentrated on my art. I will adapt to this new aspect of recording. Every video is a learning experience for me. I always see something I can improve for the next video. I want the beats to dance with color. Everything has to sync.

This could be a mess through one person’s perspective. I do see the arch and I’m happy to finish this design. There’s so much more work to be done. This design was an intense journey for me. I hope… I will have an easier time with the remaining designs. However…. I doubt that. I will find a way to make this album and continue my journey.
