Cheesesteak (Philadelphia Travel Series)

Cheesesteak (Philadelphia Travel Series)

The Philly Cheesesteak. It’s probably the most iconic food in Philadelphia. I definitely wanted to make a design from a Cheesesteak. After the Citizens Bank Tour, I went to Pat’s Steaks. However, I didn’t get a steak from there. Once I looked at the prices, I thought I would do another design or get a Cheesesteak someplace else. I went to my mom’s house and later we went to Reading Terminal. She treated me to a Cheesesteak. After our time together, I traveled back home and took a few pictures of the Cheesesteak. I was a little undecided before I started making this design yesterday. I took pictures in South Philly and I wanted to work with one of the images. Thinking back, I shouldn’t have worked with the Cheesesteak image.

This design was probably the hardest one I made in a long time. Definitely harder than my Rocky design, which was very hard. I had a hard time working with the image and several effects. I kept changing the design because I wasn’t happy with colors or textures. I wasn’t in a great mood at the time. For the last week, I haven’t been feeling too great about my work or my life in general. I hit a major setback. I am also going through a big problem right now. I won’t go into many details because it’s very depressing. Sometimes I look back at all the work I’ve done and wonder if I’m reaching for something that’s truly impossible for me. Based on my past and certain fears that I have, I don’t know if there’s hope for me. I just don’t know. I hate feeling this way. I’m literally distraught right now.

Well… this design marks the last in my Philadelphia travel series. It’s been fun. I feel sad that I’m ending with a design that I almost hate. I will talk more about the series once I’m finished the video album. I will start on it tomorrow. I think it’s going to take me 7 to 10 days to create. Hopefully…. I just have to get out of this mood I’m in. Hug my biggest enemy called Hope and try to keep going.
