Electronic Headcase

March 4th, 2019 Update: I am adding designs and music videos made before this domain was bought in December 2013. Electronic Headcase was originally posted on December 12th, 2012. I had a different domain at that time called katherinebarnett.me. Unfortunately, I lost all written content for the blog. I did write a little bit about the design on my Youtube Channel. You can read more information about Electronic Headcase below. Thanks!

Getting to the finish line for this design was a battle. My computer randomly shut off several times. Half of those times I didn’t get a chance to save my work.

I wasn’t able to record the whole process because I ran out of space on my hard drive. I had to delete a lot of files to find space to keep working on the design. I didn’t want to risk running out of space again so I didn’t record day two. I am really sorry that the whole process is not recorded.

I was at a lost and really frustrated at the end of the first day. I was determined to get the point where I felt finished. The feeling feels so sweet and distinct. I smile each time and my heart sinks because I feel divine. An instantaneous moment of pure sweetness. I must admit I crave that feeling while working on these designs.

I named this design based on my love of electronic music. I listened to electronic music throughout the design process. I would love to think it had a direct impact. I let the colors drive me while creating the design. Maybe the beats sink in my subconscious and become the vehicle of thought. I really love the colors in this design. March 4th, 2019 Update: You can see version two in this post. The thumbnail features the original design. Version 2 is my absolute favorite! Love it…

Tools: Pencil and Oil Pastel for Traditional Drawing and Paintshop Pro for Digital Process of creating this design.

Song used in the video is called Light, Livid by Plurabelle. The song is wicked!!!
