Ben Franklin Bridge (Philadelphia Travel Series)

Ben Franklin Bridge (Philadelphia Travel Series)

I am towards the end of designing part one of my travel series. I took a picture of the Ben Franklin Bridge in the same location as The Gazela. I think Pier 70 is the perfect location to take pictures of the Ben Franklin Bridge. I was walking around Old City and I thought to take pictures at the bridge entrance in that area. I don’t think it was a great spot to take the picture. Plus, I would only get the bridge and not the Delaware River. I really love Pier 70. The area itself is very calming. There’s another area a little similar to Pier 70 which is 30th street station. However, you see the Schuylkill River there instead of the Delaware River. You can also see some of New Jersey at Pier 70.

The shot that I took was near of the edge of the pier. I’m happy with the angle. The design itself was very difficult to create. I was on the fence at first. I was trying to figure out if I wanted to stick with lighter or darker color blends. I wanted to use blue and I found a nice blend of blue and tan. Towards the end, I was playing around with five variations. Green was dominant with two of the five variations and blue for the reminding variations. All five were nice but something was missing. I was stuck around the 3 hour mark. I honestly thought this design would be the easiest for me. The textures were completely off the mark. I wanted to add more effects to the sky. I felt the colors should have blended better. At one point, I had to pause the recording because I didn’t know how to fix the problem. I took a small break to listen to a podcast and went back to the design. I continued working on it until I felt happy with the final design. I like the blends. One version is a lot darker than I originally wanted to create but it’s my favorite design. I will post it around google plus and also another version that I like as well.

The song I used for music video is the last song on my recent podcast episode. I thought it would be great to use for this video because it’s not too fast and at times sounds very relaxing for me. I don’t know if anyone notices, but I am making an attempt to change the outros in my videos. I try to add a slight difference in the animation effect. I will keep the intro the same but I like adding something different at the end. I hope it’s noticeable. In this video, I had a triangle do a mini flip. A little off topic, I think I found my perfect playlist for creating my designs. It has the right mix of electronic music, bits of rock, motivational audio, and dance. This is the third design I made using the playlist and I am not tired of any of the songs. I do hope you love the music video and the designs.
