Resistance

Resistance

I’m going to be very honest. I hate the following colors and I try to avoid them. The colors are yellow, brown, and green. Sometimes yellow pops up in designs. I don’t like it because it dominates other color blends that take me a few hours to create. It’s too bright and I just don’t like how it looks. The good thing about this experience is the challenge. Trying to find a great blend with colors that I don’t like is very hard. I am not a fan of this design. I do like the patterns I created but I’m not too happy about the color. Having almost an intense dislike for these colors is why I called this design resistance.

I am trying very hard to push my personal color boundaries. It’s a frustrating experience working with these colors. The biggest challenge is to become neutral to the colors. For a while, I use to hate purple. Now I really like working with the color. Maybe in a few years, I might like working with yellow. I made four variations of the design. All of them are very similar. There is quite a bit of red in the final versions. However, in the music video, you can see me working with a lot with brown and green. My initial focus was to work with green and tan. This is a very hard combination for me. I did get close at several points but I didn’t stick with the color blends. I’m going to keep traveling down this path until I reach my color goal. I hope the designs don’t look too bizarre.

I ordered a small microphone for my podcast. I should be getting it on Friday. I am going to try to make at least two podcast episodes per week. I don’t know if I’m going to add any music to the podcast. I’ve been running into many problems recently with my music videos. I have a license for every song in my videos but I still receive copyright warnings. I dispute them and it’s declined. It’s a headache and I wish I knew how to create music so I wouldn’t have to go through these problems. I could learn but that’s just going to soak up time I need to create new artwork. Buying royalty free licenses are very expensive. Just thinking about all the hassle I’ve been going through is giving me a headache right now. I’m going to look more into it but I rather be safe.

It took me a while to like the song I used in the music video. I do love one part of the song which pushed me into using it for this video. I feel the beats definitely fit with the pace of the video. At 1:55 in the video, you can see a message saying that my battery is running low. I thought I edited that part out of the video. I guess I missed a second of that footage. I’m sorry about that. It takes over an hour to render videos. I didn’t want to wait another 90+ minutes for a small error. I do hope you like the video and the design and the design.
